New Game: Survive First. Change the World Later.
VibeSims’ fifth game, Founder Mode, is now live. Start with one idea and turn limited runway and team morale into a product, users, revenue, and a company ending.
VibeSims' fifth game does not simulate reincarnation. It simulates quitting your job.
You have an idea that might change the world.
Will you leave a reliable salary behind and start a company?
If the answer is yes, you begin with twenty-two months of runway and a fully energized team. Then you
discover that the hardest part of founding is not a lack of work. It is that you can do only one thing
each month.
Research the market, or let the team rest?
Keep building, or meet an investor?
When only six months remain, take consulting work for cash—or bet that the next launch will work?
The game begins with a market insight. An insight becomes an idea, then validation, a product definition,
a prototype, user feedback, and an MVP. After launch, you still need real users, paying customers, and
enough revenue to offset the company's monthly cost.
Funding extends runway while diluting ownership. A press story may create a breakout or expose every flaw.
An enterprise customer brings revenue and technical debt. Users won during a competitor outage may not
stay forever.
The company may shut down, the team may burn out, or the run may end as a small independent business,
a cash cow, a paper unicorn, or a rocket ship.
This is not a startup guide, and effort does not guarantee success. It simply breaks the smooth upward
curve of a familiar founder story back into the individual choices that must be made each month.
You can also decide not to become a founder.
Your salary arrives on time. Your weekends still belong to you.
In a way, you have already won.
